Datacoral Version 1.16.0

  • Datacoral policy updates
    • Cross-account role changes : Added the following permissions to the cross account role in order for monitoring job to take a backup of timelabel_summary table in DynamoDB and being able to restore it in case of failure.
      • dynamodb:CreateBackup

      • dynamodb:RestoreTableFromBackup

This change will lead to retention of 90-120 days worth of timelabel summary data while backing up the rest. This reduced dataset will speed up timelabel related queries, thereby rendering timelabels in the webapp faster. This means that you will only be able to see 90-120 days worth of timelabel data instead of the complete history which you can see now. If you need data beyond 90 days, please reach out to support@datacoral.co and we can help you retrieve it from the backup.

    • Added support for running Materialized Views (MVs) on Amazon Athena.
      • All existing Redshift CLI commands for materialized views also work for Amazon Athena, the exception being commands to update materialized views; namely - matview-list-update-sets, matview-update-local, matview-update-stage
      • Just like Redshift, web application now shows Amazon Athena as an organize slice and lists all the materialized views running on Amazon Athena
      • A new --slice-name parameter has been added to the CLI. If you have more than one organize slice e.g. both Amazon Redshift and Amazon Athena, then you can use the --slice-name parameter to specify the organize slice in which you want to create the Materialized View.
